Richland #44 is now enrolling students for the 2026-2027 school year in our 4-year-old Preschool program.  Students must be 4 years of age by July 31, 2026 to enroll.  
All registration items are due NO LATER THAN Monday, February 2.

2026-2027 Preschool Information

Location: Richland Elementary School in Abercrombie

Schedule: Full-day, every-day - following the school schedule.   School hours are 8:30-3:10.  (with arrival no earlier than 8am)

Tuition:  MAX of $35/day.  For an opportunity for reduced tuition, please see the note on BIC and F&R Meals below.

Meals:   Families are encouraged to apply for Free & Reduced (F&R) lunches each school year.  F&R applications for the 2026-2027 school year can not be accepted until July 1; however, you can find current income guidelines at https://tinyurl.com/299bmd3b

Transportation: Preschool students will have access to the same transportation opportunities as students in grades K-12.  Routes will be set this summer and communicated to parents in August. 

**Richland #44 will be applying again for the Best in Class (BIC) grant for the 2026-2027 school year. IF AWARDED, the grant helps offset the daily PreK cost for some families on an income-based sliding scale. Best in Class builds on program characteristics that drive results by offering affordable, accessible, and quality experiences to participating children in the year before kindergarten.

Attendance

Regular attendance ensures children benefit from participating in a Best in Class program and is a good measure of family engagement. It also establishes a routine that will benefit children and support their success in school and as lifelong learners.
