This year, our Colt Connection will look a bit different, transitioning to an e-newsletter. It’s purpose will be to share news, acknowledgements, and more about our students, staff, and school.
In the district’s streamlined communication plan, events, dates, and meetings will be placed in the announcements and encouraged to be posted in the same place that the Colt Connection used to be placed (area churches, post office’s, businesses, and school buildings).
The Colt Connection will go out each quarter. Communication from building principals will continue to go out on an as needed basis, and may include emails, texts, or their own e-newsletter. Remind will also continue to be the main source of communication for items at the elementary school. In addition, our Website, app, and Facebook page are all used to share communication of items. This transition is the next step in making our communication from the district not only streamlined, but also help in cost and time efficiency of district resources.
We previously transitioned from a completely print version, to a similar(time-consuming) process in creating the newsletter, but mostly emailed. This step to the communication plan helps us continue to share all the same great information in a more modernized way.
