School Board Election - Held Annually the Second Tuesday of June

RICHLAND SCHOOL DISTRICT #44 LEGAL NOTICE OF THE 2023 ANNUAL SCHOOL BOARD VACANCIES

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on June 13, 2023 the Annual School Board Election will be held in the Richland #44 School District for the purpose of electing school board members to fill any expired or vacated terms.

Any candidate for election as a member of the school board shall file with the Business Manager of the board not less than sixty four (64) days before the election and before four o’clock PM. This means the deadline for filing is April 10, 2023. A statement which is mailed to the business manager shall be in the business manager’s physical possession before four o’clock on the sixty fourth day before the election. All times are Central Daylight Savings Times: (ND Century Code 15-22-23, 15-28-03, 04, 06, 07 and 09)

ONE MEMBER SHALL BE ELECTED FROM EACH OF THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

AREA 2 (two) - One member shall be elected from that area in Eagle Township between the Walcott road and Abercrombie Township. (3-year term)

AREA 6 (six) - One member shall be elected from the village of Colfax, ND 3-year term)

To file for school board, please complete the STATEMENT OF INTERESTS form and STATEMENT OF CANDIDACY form.

Submit both items to Business Manager, Kendra Dockter, by Monday, April 10 at 4pm.
