How to Enroll (first time in school)
We keep a list of our incoming kindergarten students through a census and families informing us when they move into our district. In late winter / early spring we contact all incoming new students about steps for enrolling; Kindergarten Roundup occurs in the spring and involves a parent and student visit to the school.
Have you filled out our 0-5 year old census? If you have a child age 0-5, please fill out the census information HERE to help us keep our records as accurate as possible
How to Enroll (from another district)
Families living within the Richland #44 School District attendance boundaries are welcome to enroll their children with a few simple steps.
Fill out the Records Release form (access form here).
Send form to Kendra Dockter, Business Manager
Set up a meeting with Richland #44 administration. It is crucial that this meeting takes place as soon as you know your child will attend Richland so our staff has time to prepare for their arrival.
Open Enrollment
Open enrollment allows for families living outside of the Richland #44 Public School District attendance boundaries to apply for acceptance at a Richland #44 school.
The deadline to submit an application for consideration of Open Enrollment is the end of the last day working day of February (i.e., February 28, 2023 for the 2023-2024 school year).

Preschool Enrollment
Children who are age 4 by July 31 are eligible for our preschool program.
Enrollment for the current school year 2022-2023 will be considered case by case throughout the school year based on availability. Contact our elementary office to inquire about preschool enrollment this school year (701) 553-8321.
Enrollment for 2023-2024 preschool will take place in early spring of 2023. PLEASE COMPLETE OUR 2023-2024 Enrollment survey by January 20, 2023
